Orphan aid report 2010:
Orphans have a unique place in Islam and share an affinity with Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) who lost both his parents by the age of 6. This is expressed with great clarity in the sacred tradition (hadith). There is a promise of Paradise for anyone who looks after an Orphan:
“I, and the one who looks after an orphan, will be together like this in the next world”, then he raised his index and middle fingers together’’
(Hadith Muslim)
We have collected £300 for orphans in Zanzibar. We sent 150 to Pemba and other £150 to orphanage in Dar-es-Salaam.
We have just received a report from Pemba and are still awaiting the Dar-es-Salaam orphanage report.
In this report our Pemba representative managed to find a family in Mkungu village (district of Mkoani) with 8 orphans living in a very poor condition with their Mum and grand mum as seen in the pictures below. They were among the poorest family in the whole village, our representative said.
Before our representative visited them, the villagers had had the plan out of their kindness and mercy to build a house for the family. They calculated the basic materials that would be needed to erect that house were as follows:-

The money sent to Pemba was Tsh 340,000 out of which our representative bought 23 cement bags at cost of. Tsh 300,900 including transportation.
The remaining Tsh 38,700 was used to buy school stationeries for other orphans in the same village. Alhamdulilah.
Please keep donating for the orphans.
